As some of you know, I am very fickle and my idea for my dream atv changes everyday :D . But this time, I know what I want (or at least I think I do). If I had a Banshee motor in a 400ex or 250r frame (dont worry i'd buy a rolling chassis, I wouldnt gut one) it would be my dream machine. I love the 350 powerplant and the 400's handling.

Anyway I need some help and pointers on what I would need to mod. I think it would be fairly easy actualy, but has enyone every tried this or have any ideas on what I need to do?

ummmm id have to say maybe but the hardest thing would be getting two pipes in the frame i think

yep thats what i was thinking. but the thing i could do is cut the slanted peice that the front of the motor mounts to so they would fit. I could make my own motor mounts and stuff.

anyone else?

Anything can be done with enough money...

Lonestar makes a Banshee Outlaw frame that is exactly what you are looking for, all the suspension components and geometry from a 250r. It's basically a banshee motor in a 250r frame. It's not cheap, however. You almost need a complete 250r minus motor, lots of components from a banshee above and beyond just the motor, and another $2300 for the Outlaw frame.

I know a guy that built one. I don't know anything about it other than it handled awsome in the dunes and was pretty fast up the hill. I wouldn't cut any frame parts to make room for the pipes though. I'd make the pipes work in the frame. He had drag pipes on his so that may be what you will have to do. Personally I'd like to get an NSR250 engine to put in a 250R frame. Now that would be an all Honda Banshee eater upper!:D :D :D

Trick racing out here built a 250r with a turbo banshee motor in it, so it can be done. It's very fast :D
