I'm thinking of starting a new project...what type of horse power numbers are you guys getting with the above motors? I'm talking with cams, porting, etc.
Also if any of you run these motors at the local drags...what kinda of times could be expected with these motors?
I'm not sure which way I want to go right now...any help would be appreciated.

Your question is like asking what fish is the prettiest in the ocean.

There's 1001 ways to build a 416

1001 ways to build a 426

10001 ways to build a 440

THere's way to many compression pistons, cams, types of porting by different people, carbs, etc., to get a all around HP number. Hope i"m making sense.

Look at what's more reliable instead of most HP. YOur motor and wallet will love you more for it, garaunteed.;)

Also for most of us to know the answer we would have had to taken our quads to a dyno which about 90% of us haven't.

dyno #'s were exactly what i was looking for...i like to do dirt drags and i've had experiences with the 460's, they're not a productive as i would have thought. i was considering building a bike that i could still play around on somewhat but still be able to run effectively at the track.
i've seen 440's on the bottle go high 3.7's in 200ft, but that's about it and that's with the works and on the bottle.
i've also seen a stock raptor go 3.6's with a stock motor and the bottle, but that's with a big shot.
i don't know if you all know anything about drag racing but i wanted to know how the 416 & 426 motors would respond to modifications...could you realisticlly get 40+hp out of a 416 or 426?
i need about a 3.8 second bike, can a 416 or a 426 get me there?
