Which is the best for hillclimbing? Which has the best low end? Which of the 2 are fast i think the 440 would be not sure.

Well in my opion for hill climbing, the only way to go is the 440. The 416 my be faster, reving wise, but for lugging power the 440 will have way more bottom end. I have done some hill climbing with mine and have not run out of power. I know that there is a hill out there somewhere that my say different but I either have not found it or had the nerve to try it! :eek:

440=More Cubes=More Torque=Easier Hill Climbs

there is no substitute for cubic inches (or centimeters).

more displacement equals more power, if everything else is properly matched, like exhaust, intake, jetting, cam, etc.

But just slapping a bigger piston in won't do the job, there are too many variable. A tuned 416 will usually beat a 440 that's half *****ed together.

Do what you can afford to, and talk someone who has experience building motors, not just someone with an opinion.
