Hello,

What is the secret to going faster in the turns without slowing down? I will be racing cross country.

Where is the best place to pass a slower rider in the woods?

What is the best way to take rocky hillclimbs or downhills?

Thank you
Cody

1. lean into the turns

2. keep looking for different lines and when you come to a good one, take it

3.up hills-momentum, down hills, i hold my front brakes just a tiny bit-just enuff that i can controll my speed, and tap the rears if i need to, but never hold the rear break, the rearend will slide around on you

A few tips that might help ya Cody, I know I still need to remind myself.

1. breathe, it sounds silly, but I still get so stoked when I am racing, I forget to breathe.
2. relax, riding the quad should be a fluid motion, work with it not against it
3. know your limitations, one of the greatest acts of stupidity is to ride over your head. Live to ride next week, not for the moment.

I ride by the 3-C rule: Confidence, Concentration, Commitment.

Now go tear'er up Cody! You the man!:D

Nice pic Cody! Uhhh, no gloves, eh? You like to ride all-naturale I see. Well, it's all good man. Whatever feels most confortable to you I guess. Unless this was a quickie action shot that was taken?

Nice gear though man!:D

Usually try and take the inside, if racing a scramble try and stand up as much as possible through sections soo you butt dont get stiff.

That lever on the right side of the handle bars is for sissy's, just don't use it.

The best tip I have ever been given is this.

"Slow down just a little bit to go 10 times as fast."

That tip has made me much faster than I thought I could be. The other tips are also really good as well. Remember the front brakes give you 75% of your stopping power. I usually use them when setting up for a turn. It helps you break your rear end loose and slide it around a little better.

Oh Yeah, Alwsay wear your chest protector. 5 broken ribs and a tube in your lung for a week will definately teach you that.
