for a 250R, what would be the best a-arms setup for mx. +2, +2+1, +3+1????? and i how ever wide i go up front do i need to also go that wide in the rear with a new axle(Ex: +2 a-arms and +2 axle). also i am running a 1987 250R and i want to keep the stock length swingarm which is longer than the 88' and 89' model so would i need to go forward on the a-arms or not?

Depends on your front wheel offset, but could be 50-52". I'm guessing.

run +3 arms with 4/1 front wheels. the width will be like running +2s, but the inset wheel changes the scrub radius for the better. if your going to keep that swingarm 86/87 length dont go with +3+1s, your bike would then be 2" longer than an 88. too long for mx. if you use a 88/89 length swingarm, the +3+1s would work good for you. going 1" forward is like moving the engine closer to the axle, putting more weight on the rear wheels. thus giving you more hookup. if you need more info, pm me. good luck
