I really would like to be there both weekends but i have my kid in school and i already got her out to go on the 24th to the 29th of march..That would be great to go for both weekends but i dont think i can swing getting her out of school for two weeks since we will be doing some gnc motocross races also.If you can make it on the 3245th i will see you thereif not have fun riding and dont roost all the sand into the next county leave a little behind for us..............Chris

I will be there on the 20th (day trip) with Eddings and some other folks. I drive a white F-350 with blue stripes and a utility bed, and ride a 450r. You will probably notice Eddings' quad first though it is a white YFZ with long travel, PEP's, and Sandstars. Hope the dune lips are in good shape, can't wait to get some air!:D

Think it was the stator...he is replacing it today so we will see.

Yeah, 2nd durn stator I've had to put in now. The stock one went out & I replaced it with a 'golden' OEM stator. Won't do that again, I've got a stock wattage stator on an adjustable plate on it's way...hoping to get it today so I can get it on there. I pulled out the OEM stator and it looks pretty melted up, not pretty...so I imagine that's what my problem was with it backfiring & coughing at & only at WOT. The advance in timing oughta be a nice touch too!:D

I'm also going to get a full WB E-Series pipe & pro-meg silencer from 'bad_habit' for the EX & hope to be able to get it on there before we go. May up the main jet too if I have time & providing the local stealer has them in stock. So if the banshee decides to give me **** when we get down there I'll have me a back-up quad.:p

Take I35 south until you get to HWY 11(blackwell, ok exit) & go west until you hit alva, then turn south on 281 and you'll go through waynoka & right to the dunes! Would probably be your easiest & quickest route.;)

That's the route I go everytime. Is it just me or does that 90 miles going across Hwy 11 seem to take about a day and a half? :confused2

thanks for the input fellas....... trying to decide whether to press my luck with the weather this weekend or save up for another day....... Maybe if I had a nice hauler like "bad habit" the decision might be easier.

Looks like there will be rain all week but clearing for the weekend. I would assume with wet sand stock tires would do just about as good as paddles ????? any suggestions I will take both just to be safe just thought I would see what you guys would recommend for wet sand conditions....

Hell, if you have paddles, why waste your time with stockers? The paddles will really dig into the sand which will give you great traction. Careful with the isolated water puddles, especially on the downside of bigger duesn...WHOOSH...damn:eek: :D

Yes. It is not real good when it is sloppy wet....well some things are but not sand:blah:

I was hoping you zepheads were going to be there on the 24th weekend i was going to pull out some of my old zep concert shirts from way back to wear at the dunes but now i t looks like i dont have to bummer.They are in my basement some where with all my grateful dead rush ted nugent molly hatchet and several others unless my x old lady threw them out on me i will kill her if she did cant wait to get home from work tonight to see if i can find them.Ihope to see you on the dunes in oklahoma on the 24th ..................Chris

Right on ckasper! :D You should still wear them, Zep shirts are hardcore riding material. :devil: I still may try to swing it for that saturday, the 27th...but I don't know if I'll be able to or not. Depends on how much I can kiss the 'ol lady's arse before then!:mad: And how much $ I have then. I'd love to meet up with you guys too. Maybe I could bring the g/f's little bro down with me & his blaster for the day. We'll see...:confused:

Myself and a couple of buddies are coming down the 18-21.
The long range forecast shows 65 on thur and 70 on fri. Of course by then who knows whats its going to be. We can only hope. Im looking forward to trying out the 450r on sand. Not sure if im going to bring the predator or not. Might not have the room.
