raptor
yfz450

Banshee's are great for going fast in a straight line. Thats all i ever see em doing. Raptor's are great for speed because of the 660 motor and are good for jumping. YFZ's i dont know too much about but i think they are pretty fast and good for jumping. It also depends on where he will be riding like dunes, trails, etc...

what about a 450R?

he will also be riding at the gravel pit and airstrip near my house

Yfz 450 and get the raptor stem its like +2 or so iv been told.I love my yfz its fast and jumps nice. The shee is a lil front heavy had one. Dont know much about the rappy iv been told they are a lil top heavy but some spacers will help that out? hope this helps

450R's are great bikes too i saw alot of them at sand mountain when i was there. It sounds like the guy wants a Yamaha though.
