This event was held in Greenville TX on a large mx track, open field, and woods. We could not of asked for better weather I would say 70- 75 dergees (it was actually a little too warm).

There were 27 teams total

JB racing won the pro class TRX 450
Wild racing finished 2nd YFZ 450
Thumper racing finished 3rd YFZ450

BOB aka oldman wheeler from Iowa (Sorry about the name) his team finished 1st in the utility class.

We raced the B class and finished 2nd
we were doing very well 9th overall and next thing we know I come pulling into the pits with no exhaust (for some reason there was a rule you had to have exhaust)

So we spent the next 35 minutes taking the full system off my cannondale to put on the cannondale we were running which put us way behind (very discouraging). After getting back to the track we were 4 minutes behind 1st place in the B class. we pulled with 30 seconds of 1st place but had more problems broke a steering stabilizer and ran the last 4 laps with no bearings in the front right hub (needles to say the hub is toast) but we did finish. last I looked overall we were 17-19 I did not get a chance to get the final results once the race was finished.

This race was the first atv race to ever run transponders for scoring. The transponder looks like a cdi box except for no wires and is mounted to the frame of the bike, there is a wire that is buried at the finish line as you pass this it scores you, this was awesome no more stoping and scanning just running through the checkpoint.

This was a very fun and fast track we ran 4-5 gear in the tt part and 1-2 in the woods the nice thing about this track is no boulders like there was at the Gilmer GNCC.

part of the scoring. They also had a plasma screen mounted on the door of the trail to see what postion laptimes ect. I bet you see alot more tracks using this system in the near future. I know that they are taking it to Georgia for the 6 hrs there.

Riders getting ready to run to their quad. They did not inforce the tether kill rule.

Colby@C&DRacing

They gave a 1 minute warning then a 10 second and the shotgun went off, the riders were on their way. It was kind of diffucult to run in the taller grass with riding boots.

I believe this is JB racing just after the checkpoint, if you wanted to pit you went to the left or right other wise it was a long straight away 5th pinned gear until the next corner.

Prairiewrench

It was great to get to attend this race. Yes, Bob Fleege (Oldmanwheeler) and I (Jim Dahl) put together another team to race the 6 hour race. In this race we used Bob's 700 Prairie which was slightly modified, in the 12 Hour race we used my 700 Prairie and using the team name of Diamond G Racing which is now in Mickey Dunlaps hands getting fully modified. We have now named our team FD Racing and hopefully you will see our teams names at the top of the win list often. We had a blast in Texas but more utilitys to run against would have been nice! We were very impressed with our guys who placed 13th over all!!! The guys loved the track and were wishing it would have been a 12 hour race because they were ready to do some more riding! I didn't get time to get around and talk with or meet anyone else at the race because I'm in charge of keeping these things running but Bob said he did get to meet you guys and was happy to get to put faces to the people we talk with online.
We have 2 Prairies to race at this time and we are adding 2 more for future races. If all goes right we will have 2 teams at the next 6 Hour race in Macon, GA and we will run all 4 Prairies in the Iowa ATV Harescramble series!
Hope to see you all in GA!

I can't believe you were there and I didn't know about it. I attended but did not race. I haven't ridden since last summer (due to a variety of reasons), so I didn't want to ride. I now know I saw you there, but didn't know it was YOU. I wish I would've known in advance. I would've liked to have met you and Colby.

It was a fun race. I walked the entire course and it was great. Nice mix of terrain and the woods area was nice with no rocks. Lots of broken down quads, though. Being able to finish this race is key. Glad you had a good time.

Continue checking www.********.com. This was the first 6 hours race as a test. There are a couple of others scheduled this year, but I don't know the details. These races will all be part of a series leading up to the 12 hours race. Caddo Point will have this race next year, too, and it should be a lot bigger. This weekend was great.

I can't believe we did not get to meet. You must have either ignored the announcer or was walking the course the whole day :p

I had a good time. I did not want to hurt our times so I only went 1 lap at a time in between the boys to give them a little more break but come to find out my times were pretty close to theirs, if I would have known that I would have ran more because they were worn out after the race and I was doing good :blah:

It was a pleasure talking to Bob Fleege (heck of a nice guy), he had mentioned trying to get another 6 hr event in the north Central part of the US so if anyone knows of any areas in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, ect let him know

I first saw your riding and noticed your hair hanging out of your helmet and I thought you were another girl from this area who rides. I then saw you and your crew doing some serious work on the quad in the middle of the race, but never gave it a thought that it was you.

I was helping the race promoters do some things, so I missed a lot of the announcements. And yes, it took me a long, long time to walk the track. I figured if I wasn't getting to ride, I at least wanted to see what you guys were seeing out there. That format would be my favorite type of racing, I think. Only problem is how rough it is on the quads. I saw some very expensive quads with a lot of damage :eek2:

I'll be smarter next time and look for you and Colby :o
