I like it a lot actually... Once you get used to its not a problem and makes everything a whole lot easier to get to..

I've got a mixed opinion on this design. Every single quad I've ever owned up to my 400EX had a seat that you removed independently from the rear plastic. This is nice if you have to quickly access the airbox or the battery (like on my Raptor) but the plastic required a couple sockets to get it off. I liked how I needed no tools to remove my 400EX plastic but really was sort of a PITA to have to pull the whole rear end off the quad just to inspect my air filter. They need to have a system where the seat and plastics can be removed by themselves but eliminate the need for tools to do so.

is the setup the same on a 300ex/250x as a 400? if so then i love it! everyother wheeler ive ever owned the seat and plastic have came off seprate and i hated it. it so much faster than taking the bolts off and then remove it. i give honda two thumbs up for that idea!

Its easy people, just maneuver the seat so that it is around the battery, then put your hand on the front of the seat so that it hooks into the eyelet. The only difference between the 300 seat design and the 400 is the eyelet that keeps the front of the seat stuck to the gas tank. BE SMARTER THAN THE PLASTIC EYELET

yea..thats the 1 thing i hate..is that eyelet..is it bad if i dont hook the eyelet on the seat??

honda borrowed the idea for the seat/plastic removal all at once, from their atc 110 and i think the atc 70 as well

best solution to that problem is to just re-locate your battery...
i have no frustration with putting my seat on:D
