If EX's owners in kentucky are asking $2000 why don't you offer them $1000 and then when you buy up all the ex's in kentucky you can sell them to all us stupid ***'s on EX riders for $1600 each. Then you would be able to afford to sell your "full race" 300ex and buy a full Walsh chassis CRF 450 to race in C class with all your buddys 300ex's.

yea they are worth more than 2 grand unless it s junk. It just takes time to find someone close to you that actually has the cash. I just sold a nice clean 99 stocker with a 440 for 2500. the first guy who actually showed up with serious intent to buy--rode it for 2 minutes and handed me that money like it was a hot potato. but then again i have a very nice 02 with Laeger all over it and tons of other stuff. over 8 grand in it and i havent had any takers at 3800. go figure. Have you seen any "full race" 1998 300ex's in your local trader going for $4000? Honestly, there is no doubt in my mind if I was going to buy a new quad right now it would be 416exmx's CRF converted 400ex. I think he's asking $6,900. It's worth every penny. It already has long travel arms, elkas, mx wheels/tires, swingarm, new powdercoating, plastic etc. you wouldn't have to do anything to it and you could race it for a long time. If you buy a new 450R your going to have to put all that money into making it race ready and you'll never get that money back out of it when you try to sell it. 400ex's just can't make enough power to keep up with the modded new quads. I have only heard of one 400ex beating a 450R in a 100 yard drag race and the riders switched bikes so to eliminate the rider skill variable and the EX won every time, but it was a stroked 470ex, probably 100% race gas and every motor mod you can think of. Just my .02. Hope it helps.:)

I'm from Southern IL (about) 2 hours from Kentucky. Our classified papers even have quads form Kentucky in them. They don't go for $2000. If they did I know about 4 people that would be driving down there to get them. More like $3000.
