Just installed a twist throttle on a yfz and I am curious what the two wires that go into the factory thumb throttle do??? I cut them and connected them because thats what the motion pro instructions say to do but I am curious what they did in the thumb throttle. I think that they were for the throttle position sensor but I am still drawing a blank here. How does a throttle position sensor work and why dont you need one with a twist throttle???

If I'm not mistaken, you were thinking of the TORS wires. They shut off your engine if your carbeurator sticks wide open
