the stock a-arm ball joints for a 300ex are the same as a 400ex?

Thinking of machining my stock ones out to press/weld new ones in, but am running on information from modded 400ex arms. Does anyone know?

almost positive they are the same since 400 a-arms will fit on 300 spindles
