does anyone know what the preload settings are on a trx450r. Also Pros and cons of setting preload all the way down for lower ride height?

the lower ride height would make it more prone to bottom out unless u can set the compression good enough and decently high

1/2" lower in the rear is a good place to start. The lower the rear, the better traction, but the turning in corners won't be as good.

did you say a lower bike doesnt turn good? Its the reason i"m lowering it

set it up so that with you on the bike in a neutral postion. set the preload so that right behind the rear a-arms mount you have a desiarable hight. usualy 7-8" for mx and a little more for xc. this measurements from the ground to the bottom of the frame. then measure right in front of or behing the foot peg. set this one 1/2" lower than the front.
