how much did you winter rebuild this year cost you?

prob spent about $6000 over the winter

bored my blaster out, replaced top and bottom end, got an aluminum piston, got some stuff to make it more race ready, all for only 1400 bucks,and about 300 hours of taking apart, assembling,taking apart again and reassembling haha

I didn't really 'rebuild' anything, but all the maintenance and replacement parts sure did add up quick. About $800 and it really don't look any different, lol! :eek2:

i'd say i spent over 2 grand on the R and didnt rebuild anything, just added new stuff. the bad thing is i am going to buy more, then plan on rebuilding it all at the end of this season.

I'd say <$500. :blah: :D Just routine maintenance. I wish I could afford to do some major overhauls and such but the funds are limited. My Bombardier requires a course in Rocket Science to do anything. The whole thing is computerized and so high tech that I almost cried reading the manual. Good thing I just stick to oil changes and other routine flushes and cleanings. I also put a lift kit on it - it's one mean machine. The Raptor is just getting smal things like handlebars, a clamp, and some other goodies.

The R got about 2000 put into it.(Still broken and sitting there like the last 2 years.


My 300ex got nothing really.Still sitting there broke.....



My 400ex got new plastic,graphics kit,seat cover,new tires,handlebars,pipe,So that's like 700.



And this 250x that's not even built yet.So far 250 bucks.



Almost 3000 dollars.


That is the first time I added all that up.And I wonder why I am always broke...

If your doing engine work a 318 stroker from Curtis Sparks is awesome!!! I had it untill i started racing youth production i got a 300cc kit from sparks(so its still legal)...it pulls nearly as hard as the 318 did....

Right now the motor is undecided.I have the frame,Whole front end with works shocks,Steering stem,Swingarm,Axle,rear hubs,Gas tank,seat,rear fenders,350x airbox tube,

I plan on getting the rolling chasiss done first.See how much money I have into it that point and then decide.


Right now debating 350x motor or built 250x.350x has six gears and you could get more power out of it.But the 250x would bolt right in and you could use any exhuast.And it has reverse.I don't plan on needed reverse on my mx track anytime soon.

To much to decide.But I know I will love it either way.


Hoping to be able to get the whole rolling chassis with brakes and shocks,new wheels and tires everthing but the motor and wiring for under 1000.

i stared modding it when i got it but this winter i just put 1100 in shcoks, which without sponsers would have been arround 1500, a edelbrock carb for 400 and a clarke 5.5 gallon tank for 200, total without the bike i probably got 3500-4000 in it the motor internals are all still stock.

mx quad:
-PEP/roll design long travels, Baldwin 440 motor, powdercoat, AC nerfs bumper and full belly skid, FCR41mm, Sparks X6, Arens Antivibe Clamp, baldwin front hubs, GT thunder cdi, sidewinder chain and sprockets, axis rear shock
$6000ish....I cant wait til I get it all together


XC quad:
-Elka front shocks, burgard +1 a-arms, new plastic, Tag t2 bars, and some misc stuff
$1600ish

but thankfully i'm about done! Just gotta get a steering stabilizer and i'm done w/ the quad!:D

my winter (i know its spring) rebuild has just begun on the R. i started tearing it down yesterday the frame is getting PC`d prismatic black the swing arm and steering stem are getting chromed and the front shocks are getting rebuilt and i need new front tires, but i`m not shure on which ones i'm getting yet so i`m probably gonna spend around $800 on the gestimate :rolleyes:

Wasn't me. I;m in the video at the freestyle show were Dana wrecks but that's it.

get a mosh frame there way betta then gt....i got a macneil freimuth right now....bout 300ish dollars for the frame....very nice but a couple of the welds are like chit that i had to re weld...o well it all good now

I redid my Banshee this winter. It was bone stock and blown up before the winter now i have invested about 1200 bucks in it. I still need a few things though( ITPs, Chrome radiator insert)
