400ex carb and 350x air boot

finally got around to installing this on my 300ex, and wow did it wake it up. i can wheelie in fourth rolling barlly pulling back on the bars. i definatly recommend this to any 300ex owner. i also have 6 1in holes in my air box lid, i removed the choke and i have a fmf megamaxII.

as for the jetting it was jetted perfiectly. i dont know what jet is in there but bigbore81 would know.

as for start up you need to pump the throttel once or twice and it fires right up. this was in 40 dergree weather too.

I've got a 400EX carb in my garage...left over after I upgraged to a 39mm FCR...and installing it on my wife's 300EX has been something I have never got around to. After reading your post, it sounds as though I need to get it done. BTW, what did the 350X intake tube cost you? How well did it fit onto the 400EX carb, as well as into the airbox?

the air tube costed me about 40dollars. like posts in the past say you do need to heat the tube silghtly in water. it may take a few min. to get it on but it is worth it.
