Ford Ranger project

Hi guys, me and my father are looking for ideas to mod his ranger... its a 99 ranger with the 3.0 motor and its also 2x4. it also have the sport package on it from the factory.

do you have any website or any idea of what kind of parts to put on it we would like to search for a exhaust system, wheels and tires and as well as performance parts and body parts also.

all of those pics are of off road setups. it sounds like to me he wants to have a street setup, hense the 2wd and 3.0L

you have been given some good sites but dont waste your time on Rangerpowersports unless your trying to lower you ranger... I know I use to be there.

yeah, i gots a 96 3.0 that i can twait to mod out. i was thinkin about prerunner. but i think i want a street truck, so i figure ill throw exhaust, chip, intake, and some rims and tires, maybe drop a lil or leave it stock and ill be good to do, i just want a quick lil truck for the street.

yea but basicaaly hondas for reliability and quality, and then the toyota trucks for quality.:D the mazda i just got for free from my dad so im not complaining.......dont tell noone but i do like mopar's.:eek:

would that be a 5.0 motor from a 'stang?

...and are you going to use a SFA or original 4x4 front axle setup that the rangers use?

man i wanted to drop the 5.0 in but unfortunantly i still have to full with e-check up here and i know it would have never passed so that's the 4.0, and yup i'm still using fords twin traction beam suspension, i think it's a little better than the solid axle

Im also thinking about the 5.0 from a mustang but which year to use?? also what kind of modification are you doing to fit this motor in??

also will it be ok to pull the trailer with the 400 in it with this motor??

so far we have put monroe shocks and other little things on it, my father also bought new wheels so we will try to find some nice tires to go on them.

its incredible how the monroe suspension is making a difference!! you know that the back of the rangers are always bumping up and down with the stock suspension?? we think it was really dangerous in the corners so we took them off and he bought new ones.:eek2:

my buddy has a 5.0 4x4 ranger right now he is trying to sell with a 3in lift and 33 in super swampers and street tires and wheels
i will say he has had some problems with it because of the engine swap but it is a runner
