Everytime i try to directly connect with somebody it says something about not being able to directly connect and i dont know why...anybody know anything about this. This is what the message is:
______ has not responded; no connection was made. (Your 'Internet Connection Firewall' may be on. If you and your buddy are each behind a different firewall, then the connection will not work.)

Do you as well as the other person have a router?
I've also seen this error if two people are using two different versions of AIM.

Whats so great about aim+? You might want to go into prefs and look theres something in there abotu firwalls you can mess with but i never did mess with it befor. Also what does a router have to do with it? I rember when i had dail up for sopme reson the direct connect wouldn't work then once i got cable internet it did.

the new aim u can link sn's and just go to preferances then go to something with direct message or instant messaging and you can adjust the firewall, if u got common sense u can figure it out
