Mobil 1 Red cap 20W- 50 ????

Where can you find Mobil 20w- 50? All I can find is 15W-50.

Is there a reason you want Mobil 1 20w50? From what I have seen everyone uses the Mobil 1 15w50, including me...

I thought I read on here to run 20W-50, but if 15w-50 will work, I'll go to Wal-Mart and get some.

I had the 15w -50 and it made noises I've never heard before. Changed it to 10w-30 and noises went away. Too thick of oil for current temps. Keep this in mind.

Is the Mobil 1 15w-50 oil safe to use in a 250ex with an auto clutch?

I bought this quad loaded with everything, but I don't know much about them. Should I run Mobil 1 15W-50 with a Magura hydraulic clutch?

I believe the 20w-50 has friction modifiers in it, which is not what you want.. Not certain on that but I think it does.

my motor builder told me to run 10w 30 in the winter months, and when it is hotter out go to 20w 50. It is really cheap compared to buying spectro, or anything else, but i work for a napa dealer, and cost me just over 12 bucks for a case. the napa oil is the cheapest in price, but just as good as anything else in performance!

does any one have any idea if this is good on your clutch or are you just hoping it is . i thinking of trying this but my dealer told me not too. (mobil1 15w-50) can i switch back if i have problems or not. anyone have problems or not i have searched and people go both ways on this situation. do any engine builders recommend this oil or not.

3 years using mobil 1 full sythetic and not one problem except a smooth running motor..:cool:


and napa's oil is not as good as mobil 1,,,sorry :p

That Mobil 1 is really slippery stuff. My son and I have been using it for the past two years and the 400EX's run like new, not even a hint of motor trouble.
You won't have to change the synthetic oil as frequently either.
I change the oil and filter twice a year, in the spring and fall.
I think people are too hung up on changing their oil, in fact it's way too often. The actual oil never goes bad, it's the additives and detergents that wear out.
