I think we should add a nice thick set of leather gloves or anything that doesn't conduct heat well.... I think the butter knife might get a lil hot ?

you could like take a wire betwwen you bttery charger gator clips a thin wire turn your charger on and get the wire hot and then do some cutting, dont no if its safe but you could try it.

I wonder if a soldering(sp??) iron builds up enough heat?? Then I could just reshape the tip:confused:

Yah the elk are pretty cool. We get to see them all the time. the street is the city limits and on the other side is all pasture and a big hill. In the fall and spring the herd hangs out over there. Its really cool when they start calving and in the fall when the rut is on, the show can get really spectacular. When we moved here 13 years ago the herd was better than 60 head. now its so small the indians are trying to get it protected.

Soldering iron works. I had to reshape the tip a little. It is not the most gracefull cutting tool but it was free. You need to use a file and scrap off the built up rubber every now and then.

I use a pair of horizontal cutting snipes, they work really good and u can do it pretty fast to, none of that worrieing about heat and stuff
