I need help with wiring a pro design kill switch for a 300ex. I have the positive wire spliced into the black and yellow wire coming out of the coil and attached the ground wire to the fender mounting bracket to the frame. My problem is when I pull the tether the engine is still running. Any ideas why its not working right?

the posotive wire is the longer one and the ground is the shorter one maybe you have it on backwards, but if that isn't the problem then idk wat is

i dont htink thats right cuz i have mine in the key wires and have switched the wires beforeand it didnt matter. but that might only be because its in the key wire. but if your not worried about having a key just do it that way....im not completly sure it will work on a 300 tho because of the electric start. but the worst that will happen is a blown fuse.

Well I figured it out. The handlebar plastic was holding the kill switch and was not letting it work properly. I had to reposition the kill switch and it works fine now. thanks for the reply's though...
