View Full Version : crf450 quad with arens frame- swingarm question

ive looked thru all of the threads but still have a question, i probally need to just call john but here goes
if u use the arens frame, do you have the rear end alignment issues of the chain not lining up like you do with the 400ex frame, and if so does the arens swingarm fix that?

you shouldnt have any issues with the chain and motor john has desighned the frame for the motor to be in there perfect, my yz motor fits in very nicely all i gota do is cut a little off the left side sleeve that slides in the swingarm.

i figured it would line up right, arens is high quality parts but i just wanted to know if anyone knew or had done the arens frame w/ crf450 and stock 400ex partds like swingarm etc

john told me that ill still have to trim the one spacer a little bit got the motor to slide in....its really easy to do though.

Shouldn't have a problem, just trim the spacer if you need to like below! Somebody on here was building one, I think his name was smith.

yeah i was following Smith and his buildup but never posted about the finished product

which spacer are you talking about?

thanks for the info on this, i had looked at all of the threads on crf quads but this was nevdr addressed
