Well i got my shcoks today installed them adn when i took it off the jack stands All the ssd springs fully compresed is this normal? I thought it wasnt suposed to compress until the rider got on? When i get on it doesnt sag much anymore but y does the ssd compress. There brand new.

Read the "owners manual" that came with your shocks. The manual calls this free sag. You should have at least 1". This is the point of ssd.

Yes, it is supposed to compress under the weight of the bike.

Mine did the same thing. You can adjust it a little if you want, by turning the collar.

Make sure to set the sag to about 8.5 inches with you on the quad. I did this and it made a huge diffrence in handling..

thanks, i know the rear sag is 6 inches without me so is the front so i will see this afternoon when i get home. the frame was 10inchs off the groud with no rider when i get on it only sags a little more prob not evn a inch. I was just worries a bit i gues the ssd spring compresses and during jumps or slow going in xc it extends to use fully travel.
