It is a maier hood and yes it comes in a carbn fiber look alike(as you can see in the pic) I think it was around 50.00 bucks, for the one with the hood scoops in it, nowhere close to the quadtech. And i like these better

Great idea, just pump a couple of shots unitl the boots buldge. One thing I did before installing them was to mask off threads and used some Rustoleum Hammer silver on them to keep them from getting all rusty and ugly like they do.

Yeah mine was taken on cell phone and the white is bright and i did add a front bumper so far, my cousin bought and didnt want to take his engine skid off to use it so he give it to me. Anyone got suggestions on a pipe i had a Raptor before the Z and i wish i would have bought the Z first.

Yep, I do have both.

I took the Yoshi cams out of my Yoshimura motor and installed Hotcams. It now revs much better and is now a bit faster than my Athena. I'll be pulling the head off my Yoshi and having DAB Racing port it up and do his headwork. It will definitely be faster than my Athena. My Athena is no slouch and has beatin' several YFZ's in drag races. :D

Z-dan, did you just use black hi temp paint on your exhaust system or what did you do? looks pretty good

High temp exhaust paint, make sure its rated at over 1200 degrees. I bought mine at autozone.

Great site here guys.I'm new to this site-have been reading the posts for some time now.I figured it was time to post some pics of my quads.I recently sold my '03 and just bought an'05 last week.Now i have to start all over with the add-on's.Oh well thats part of the fun.BTW theres some NICE quads posted here!!!

How does the new Z450 compare to the Z400? Is it only a diff of 50cc?

Nope, the 450 is quite the machine compared to the 400. just a few things that are different....Fuel Injection, much wider, the displacement like you said, center exhaust, more travel..and the list goes on for anyone who would like to help him.

You see the Lt450r is purpose is to be race ready out of the box like the other 450's where as the 400 is more of an all around machine for the less agressive riders.

here she is z470 has lrd head and yoshimura crank and athena cylinder is 94mm piston in her

all long travel front and rear elkas and pro trax laeger arms

this was built for nate frees in 03 lots of custom made stuff

Hate to intrude but.I was wonderng if any of you guys want to trade ur z for my 450r in my sig.I want to try something new.Also i will throw in cash if neccary.

RUNS VERY VERY STRONG AND LOOKS AMAZING!!

I just bought a 03 z400 and was wondering what they are worth ..... I paid 3000 for it it is in mint cond all stock ( Good or Bad DeaL????)

I just put hossiers on it and i orderd a lowering kit wondering what a lowering kit looked like on one pics please

Nothing fancy, but I like it. Engine is still stock except for some new oil, coolant, and air filter cleanings. Shocks have since been C & D Racing converted. And it's way more scratchier & dentier than last October when these were taken.

my dads z400 with some new stuff and blown rear barrings and carrier :( . i think im getting the barring carrier and axle today. 450r front shocks work great on a z400 i recondmend them to any one the wants a great shock and a little lower ride hight.

its different because these a-arms are "home made" :D they are +2" for std suspension, but because of the "curve" of the a-arms everyone think they are long travel.... i have them for 2years and no problem until now,jumps,rocks...they pass in every place... had cost me about $150

i am from mainland,near Lisbon...But i didn't do these a-arms,it was a friend that told me where to find it... now the price in "portuguese market" of the a-arms is about 400€, aprox. $350... because it has been a sucess and the price increased...
