I bought a Full aftermarket pep ZPS rear shock from this guy, and i was sappost to buy the fronts but he backed out. and im having trouble finding another set of pep zps. If i got elkas with the ssd will my bike sit even? elka says they make the bike sit 2.5 inches lower, how much does pep sag? i really dont want to mix brands but theres some ice races coming up and i have no front shocks.

I suppose it will not hurt to mix, and you could level out the bike by adjusting the ride height but it looks much nicer when both front and back are the same brand.

I was in the same boat, I got a rear PEP zps and was looking around for fronts, afterabout a week I found a set.

i would try to avoid mixing shock brands if possible. im sure you could make it work good, but nothing is going to top a set of shocks that are all the same. every company does not valve their shocks exactly the same, otherwise we would all buy some works for 400 rather than some other brand for 1000.

well i can either hold out and hope something comes up.. or just buy a diffrant brand and get to race. hmmmm

you should be fine without pep fronts. shock brand has nothing to do with hight

you will be fine. either raise the ride height on the elka fronts or lower the preload in the rear.

yep./...the zps and the ssd are the same...the ride height can be adjusted with both

I think it's up to you. There shouldn't be a problem getting the shocks setup to work with each other. Some guys just like running the same brand, as it makes sense, and might help with sponsorship, etc.

mixing brands is not a problem.
