Just bolted on my 400EX Leager extended swing arm on to my 450R!!!

The 400ex rear shock will not work, the resivor hits the trany.

I had to space the rear sprocket over to line up the chain but the rest of it works fine. I'll get some pictures tomorrow after I clean it up.

Varmit57-Sounds good!! Did you put the stock rear axle back in? Do you think if a person puts a 400ex lonestar swingarm with a lonestar 450r axle and stock 450r carrier I would have to do any shimming or modifying to my 450r.

I'm using a lonestar 250R extended axle with a lonestar bearing carrier.

I like the 250r Axle for the strong hubs that they have...

I had sold my break caliper, so I had to user the 450R break mount, caliper, rotor and spindle.

Then I built a new axle lock nut becuse the stock one would not reach the 250r keeper.

I'll get some pics tonight after work...

Great info man!

If you use an aftermarket 400 EX swingarm, bearing carrier, and extended axle will the 450R's brake rotor and caliper mount still work?

Anyhow, I think the R looks a helluva lot meaner with the +1.25.

One more question, if you use the bearing carrier out of the EX and the EX axle does the chain line up?

i know the 450r and 400ex axles are a bit different... and the carriers are different as well... the 450r carrier is approx 1/2 incn narrower than the 400ex carrier.

What did you use to space the sprocket over and how much did you have to space it? Did you have to use the 450r linkage with the EX shock or 450r shock?

Seems to work, can't wait to try it on the track...:D
