canondale and 250R rear shock

does anyone know if a works rear shock will work on a 250R?

to my knowledge, they are totaly different, the dale is a no-link, the r has a linkage

What about the fronts? I've seen a few ads for them in Dirtwheels, and they seem to be selling cheap right now, it is just a thought.
