Make sure you have the cam chain tensioner lifter tool, or have a friend hold the lifter tension with a screwdriver while you line up the cam chain in the guide and the tensioner itself.

What manual did you get those instructions from, and did it have pictures;) The one dealer I talked to told me that the cam installation was very very tricky and should only be done by them :huh.

Sounds like they want to make some money off of you. It isn't hard at all. I usually just take the cam chain tensioner off all together so I don't have to try to hold it.

Its fromthe factory service manual. It has pics, but I don;t have a scanner, sorry! Its super easy, don't be scared. The dealer jsut wants your dough.

I've done the cam on My Yamaha Warrior, which sucked becasue it had a bearing on it tha needed to be pressed off, and I had to install new springs in the head...which sucked too, because I needed to make a special tool, just to do it, all in all it wasn't too hard. Chances are, I will wait for Curtis Sparks to release his cam, I rather only spend the money once. Did the factory service manual come with the bike...i didn't get mine yet, so i don't know myself
Thanks
Joe

For the cam chain tensioner, I took a small screwdriver and released the tension and held it in place with visegrips worked great!

Thats a good idea for the tensioner.
No you have to buy the manual, its $35
