hey guys the bearings are gone and I dont really want to change them because I was thinking about making bushings instead to replace the roll bearings. ( BTW Im a machinist)

did you ever heard of a setup like this??

i always thought bearings were alot better than any bushing?? I personally would get a tapered bearing carrier..

I'm pretty sure he means the needle bearings in the front. ;)

Give it a try and see how it works

If you make bronze ones and drill your pivot bolt, install a grease fitting in the end of the bolt, and keep them greased it will work very well. Needle bearings are still better but if you can make them and don't want to spend the money on needles then go for it.

stick with the needle bearings, they only cost about $10 EACH

I used Oilite bronze in a old YZ 250 dirtbike w/o any problems or them getting sloppy. My pivot bolt was greaseable also. I also did this on a 250X 3 wheeler w/o any problems. Try it.

I slide in the biggest socket that will fit in the hole and still git fluch around the bearin put an extension on it and pound them right out.
