So, what do you guys think of the engine braking on the 450R?
More or less than you expected?
I was/am surprised how little there is, compared to my 400EX.

Good or bad thing in your opinion?

for racing it is nice!
For me it took a little getting used to, especially on the trails! I missed it on steep down hills but those brakes are TOP NOTCH!
Just something you gotta get used to, the old R didn't have any engine braking being a 2 stroke. You will love it in time and do fine.

Simple explanation is that engines can provide a sense of braking when you let off the throttle. The higher the compression of the engine the more braking you feel. I think at least for me the 450r has all the enigne braking I need. Quite honestly if the engine braking isn't enough the front and back brakes are top notch and should fill in quite nicely!

Ah but who needs brakes? :blah:
