250r exhaust flange

is esr and cfm the only people that make exhaust flanges for a 250r? is one better than the other or are they both about the same?

esr and cfm both use a double o-ring design, billet construction. i belive esr units come anodized.

i have the esr one, its a really nice unit. they also make a +5mm version, that gives you a bit better bottom end grunt, at least thats what they told me!

I have the ESR one as well. I put it on an Esr pipe, and the fit is absolutely perfect. I didn't even bother to put any hi-temp sealant on, it doesn't need it at all.:devil:

I could never get my flange to seal so I got an ESR flange and it seals perfectly!

The power of a 2-stroke pipe comes from a resonant sound wave inside the pipe. By increasing the length of the exhaust flange, you set up a lower resonant frequency, which corresponds to more power at a lower RPM. I haven't tried it, but the physics of it make sense.

I have the big bore ESR one. It worked good with the LRD pipe, with the CPI I had to do a little machining (I think it was CPI's fault though, not ESR's) to make it fit.
I remember a while back ESR had like 3 different length flanges for more low, mid, or high range. I haven't seen them advertised for a while so maybe they didn't work, lol.
