Hey guys I just picked some of these up and will be mounting them this weekend. Any of you ever used these or have any mounting problems? I paid 46.00 buck for them and they look just like the Acerbis ones for 90.00 something dollars.

By the pics posted, I take it they went on OK? Did they clear the levers ans everything? I tried some Emgo guards before, and they wouldn't come close to fitting.

Could you post the website and part #

Yeah the install was excellent...no modifying needed. It definitely clears my WC clutch lever, I had already trimmed my brake but from the looks of it you wont need to trim yours.

Its denniskirk.com Part number#614038
Not sure what type of handlebars you have but I mounted these onto my renthals. It came with a spacer and a sleeve if your handlbars have a larger diameter. Oh, the carbons are 56.00 and all other colors are 46.00. I dont think they are true carbon fiber either, just the mold injection to look like it. I'm happy with them.

The acerbis hand guards have a strip of solid aluminum that runs inside the guard. Do thuse have that? I have the Maier's on now and hate them. I rolled 1 time and one of them got all bent to ****. I want something thats really gonna hold up.

I like the hand guards.

Thanks Guys! No need to be stingy with a good product... in fact I rode it little while today and didn't even notice them there when turning or whipping it around.... they give plenty of room.

Yeah as a matter of fact they do have the solid strip of aluminum running through them. I had the moose all plastic ones before and I know what you mean.... they were really flimsy and definitely wouldnt help in a rollover. These are solid... i think you'll like them.

I really like the scoops alot! I plan on running a bigger oil sump and a FST oil cooler later this summer so thats why I picked them up. Not sure if its really cooling the stock cooler much more.... nothing noticable anyways. They're constructed pretty solid and mount really easy. Holty is running the black anodized ones and Tinner is actually fabricating these himself for less than half the cost... just not anodized.

thanks for the info on them. I was going to order the acerbis, but if those are only 60, hey 30 bucks is 30 bucks i ain't gotta spend.

That part # you gave...was that the whole deal....install brackets and all that?

Also, i am looking into geting a new clutch lever and perch. I like the look of yours. What exactly is that? Do you have part #'s and prices for that?

03-02-2002, 07:52 PM
No prob Texan32... yeah the whole package is under that part#. Everything you need minus the tools.

Thats a WorksConnection Pro Perch and Lever. WC sells them from their website for 125.00 but I found them for 109.00 from
http://www.dirt-deals.com/
Make sure you get a brake blockoff too... dirt deals has them for like 12.00 and its aluminum... I ordered along with the setup. You can get blockoffs from anywhere though and their cheap. All I can say about the WC setup is "TOO SWEET"! Say goodbye to forearm pump

Not sure if they will fit your quad. It may make a difference in the type of handlebars you have. Their not listed as a specific type to a specific model of atv. Find out in the forum if anyone has mounted the Acerbis ones to their quad and what type of handlebars they have. Because they are just like the Acerbis ones but cheaper, it will mount the same.
