It should but that's alot of sidewall.

The sidewall is the distance from the rim edge to the tread. A 22" tire on an 8" rim will have more sidewall than a 22" tire on a 9" or 10" rim. There are advantages and disadvantages depending on the riding conditions. I can't explain it very well, i'm sure someone else will be able to.

If you have more sidewall the tires will roll over the outside of the rim more. When your cornering and it is possoble that the side wall will gash on something easier since there is more out there.
