UM performance swingarm skid!?

I have one on my 400 EX. Quality is good but I think the design could be better. What I mean by this is that the part that protects the shock linkage gets hung up on various objects. It comes in contact with logs before the rear wheels have a chance to bite and climb over. Leaves you sitting there spinning wheels. I tried with controllable momentum but it stops dead in its tracks. I never had this issue w/ the stock guard.
