Just read on Gnccracing.com that honda now has a contingency program for the motorcycles but i didnt see anything mentioned about contingencys for quads :grr: Check it out

Yeah I didnt figure they would start giving it to quads. I was hoping they would specially since everyone now has a YFZ cause they got tired of waiting on Honda. Figured oh hey if we give contingency we might get some of them back, well thats what I get for thinking. O well once again bikes rule and quads I guess where just stuck to following in there dust.

I just read the post on the GNCC site. I think that it is horrible that all that kind of money is offered in contingencies for bikes and not cent is in it for the quads.
Racer Productions really needs to push for a Quad Contingency Program. Maybe someone besides me needs to speak up to Rita or Jason

Maybe we should get some kind of petition going to show them that WE need it tooo!!!!!!!! Just a thought :)

Come on people, download the form. It specifically mentions the 450R and the 400EX.

Wingnut is right they do have quads included:D I already downloaded it. Sometimes Racer Productions seems to care a little more about bikes than quads that may be why it was not mentioned.....

The promoters have to be on Honda's "list", If I remember correctly, Carrie Joe said at the riders meeting after the banquet that they only had a contingency plan for bikes only. :grr:

I don't remember hearing her say that. Check out SECCRS link, apparently Carrie Joe forgot to tell Honda not to pay the ATVs. Looks like they even plan to have a contingency program for the utilities.

This is great! They even are giving out for c class. But you have to become a member of hrca. And you have to have a 2003 or older model. If honda is giving the money why won't the promotors let them pay???

Talked with Jason "Wege" from RP saturday at the Dealer Show, and he said there is NO contingency plan for quads in GNCC, this is soundin like 2 mutts fightin over a bologana string. :(

I also asked Jason at the Dealer show. No plans for Honda backing quads. Bikes only

SECCRS

Well this honda web page says diffrent. So as long as Honda's writing the checks does it really matter what RP says since they say they are covering it?

Good Question:confused:

I talked to Jason at the dealer show also and took him a copy of the stuff off of Honda's website. He said he was only told this by someone on the phone. When I took him a copy w/the quad stuff listed, he became a believer:macho . He said he would call Honda when he gets back from the show. He said he would try and get it figured out for us. So we will have to wait and see but I think we are in.:p

Cool:)

The reason the form has Quad stuff on it, is cause Honda prints ONE generic form. Other Series may have worked through Honda to Support the quads, but Racer Productions has only established a motorcycle contingency.
NOT A QUAD

This is honda contingency page all you have to do is click on the ATV and you will see they are offering it for GNCC

It says nothing about Quads on that page. I'm guessing it's for bikes only..

Go check out the update on the GNCC web site (http://www.gnccracing.com/frameset.htm).

Now, it's Yamaha turn. And, don't forget the stock class!

The coolest part about Honda's contingency program is they issue a debit card....

Not just "Honda bucks" that you can only use at a dealership.

Wow - that must be crazy to think that you could have got PAID $500 cash for winning in TX if you would have been on a 450R! Sounds like you need to make the switch Wingnut!

If I had gotten one, it is possible, but not likely, that the contingency money would have paid me back for the ATV by the end of the season.:( That's the worst part of it.

so, has yammy done anything yet? can someone get on their case? talk about a slew of 450r's at the GNCC's lately. they have to see their sales and exposure declining at least in this segment of racing. it would be different if they were making more profit off of bikes but in my opinion the quads are where they make their money. twice the parts twice the MSRP, etc.

Can't give any money out if thier spending it for warrenty repairs.

have there really been that many problems with them? i guess i've not had any problems with mine. some of the pros i've seen end races because of some problem - maybe electrical? but i just thought it was the law of averages. since 90% were running them something was bound to go wrong. at least it's not a raptor or a warrior (they may have been good for most but i had a really bad experience with one).

doesn't yamaha have a good bike contingency? i still don't understand why atv riders get the shaft. i can't stand bike riding. if you look at the numbers it's amazing on how many sales atv's are making and how much they are going up every year.

i just wonder who to push to find out if it's even been discussed by the corporate whoevers...
