I just got my quad last October. So I haven't ridden it a lot yet. I have went to Gopher Dunes a couple of times and did some trail riding aroung the area. I'm always open to new riding spots. Where do you ride? I have a YFZ 450.

i was out last weekend with robman and the guys finishing the track, its a little green so it needs to be ripped up. there are two stepups, 30 ft double , two 40 ft doubles, 6 small doubles, 1 bridge jump 20 ft and a 10 woop section the track is almost 2 miles long has some woods, two long straightaways and various hill sections its not wide but does have some places for passing its basicaly 10' wide at the most narrow sections its technical we have some local CMRC guys gonna practice and were about 1 3/4 hr from hamilton.

The track is pretty well ready, hope you like air:D .Finally got my quad back together, cut 3 inches off the can and took packing plus spark arrester out.I also bored out the header inlets since there was a lip for smoother flow and an outerwears airbox lid.Huge power difference, feels like a totally different machine.A couple of the other guys are still working on there quads so you shoud come out in a couple of weeks so we have a good pack of riders. It seems everyone wants more power around here but i'm good to go.If anyone else wants to come out post reply.

Ya we know of a couple of tracks one just behind my oldmans farm near granton. My brother lives in elginfield near 23 hwy and just got his LT-R450.
Our track is near parkhill on hwy #7 by Sylvan it's 2.5 kms with doubles 'whoops stepups, stepdowns and some nasty 40-60 ft jumps over a creak that you have too make or go around. We should hookup some weekend

03-18-2006, 12:44 PM
ya that would be sweet, im buting abother sx85 ( 2stroke 85 dirtbike) becuase im not to good at jumping my 400ex, of course im keeping the ex though. my friend has a 50 foot one over a creak as well. Whats the biggest you got there?

suzukitony64
03-18-2006, 12:57 PM
No we have two that are around 60 -75 ft but we made our landins long the gaps between jumps is no more than 50ft and the landing ramps are from 25-35 ft long with a shallow tapper to them ,just in case your goin for 60 and only make 55

sweet track, if i were to come, would my friends be able to tag along? they all have 400exs so there wold be about 3 400exs and my 85. Is dirtbikes aloud on your track or shouldi just bring the 400, im not too good on tracks with it.

suzukitony64
03-18-2006, 09:33 PM
ya thats cool, i prefer quads but bike ok. Our jumps are more suited to quads but all the jumps have a way around them besides we have smaller doubles and the track is a combo of mx and cross country real technical and tight only a few places to pass. If ya go here you can see some of our older pics of trails in my back yard www.geocities.com/thesylvanatvmuddogs ya thats us

03-19-2006, 09:24 AM
Nice pics, i think i willl have to bring the 400 and 85, we bring the burgers and you BBQ them:D . What year is that banshee?

suzukitony64
03-19-2006, 02:40 PM
thats cool we got a real big bbq. We start ridin the track around mid april too early may, only have the usual rules like no burnin up side rds nieghbors lawns and minimal booze. we havent had a single complaint and the farmers are cool with us, it just that the cops have had a hardon for atv's lately but my track is aproved by the asauble conservation athorities but for priviate use like friends and family, **** anyone with an atv is a friend and we live just one concession from lot 8 a ridin club and they dont like me couse i wont let them on track untill they give me a free membership dont matter we ride all the trails around them and there better anyways
look forward to meetin yas

Awsome we have had a few spills nothin major just a brocken wrist, ie dirt bike, but that jump has been modified. Bring a cell phone preferably telus they have good coverage here, just in case some of the trails have a nack to them but not bad problem is there always changin with erossion and 4x4's chewin them up and oh the river crossing let me say the way down is 75 degree angle for 25 ft and then ya got to hamer it ,lets put it this way if ya dont ya floet a little ways down too far and ya swimmin its a riot, we all meet ther to help eachother cross and have the guys spot

03-20-2006, 06:23 PM
Sounds good, so if you dont make it your quad floats down theriver a little?

robman
03-20-2006, 07:14 PM
It's not that bad you just got to walk the track before you ride it so you know what your up against.
