400ex fenders on a 250R

Can this be done? I bought a set of 400ex fenders for my 400ex but im getting a 250R frame and was wanting to use these fenders on it.

yep thats what my R has on right now, you just have to make your own front brackets, trim the gas tank cover, trim the seat hooks, and get a different seat latch but other than that and a lot of patience you can get the job done

WEll since we're on the subject of plastic fitting on something else, I just purchased some 250r plastics for my 300ex & am wondering if I'll be able to use my 300 seat or will I have to get an R one??? If anyone can help I'd appreciate it, BTW I haven't go tthe plastics yet so thats why I was asking instead of looking ;)

You're gonna have to get the R seat. Here's a pic of my 400ex with a 250R motor in it.

Thanks. Those are only on there till I get my HiPers and Hoosiers and so I can roll it around the garage. The tires don't leak, just the valve stem.
