How much you gettin back? I just finished E-filing mine and were gettin back $3427:D

I dont care what the democrats say, I'm liking the new tax rates. I went looking through our tax books for the last three years and noticed that the taxes have gone down three years in a row.
With all my itemized deductions, gifts to charity, and tithes to the church, I got my tax down to 1.05% :macho Last year I only paid 3.5%

And yes I have reciepts for everything;)

My parents calimed me as a dependent so I couldn't claim myself. I made enough money this year to actually owe the govt. money, ridiculous. I owe a little over 200 bucks, and they took a nice little portion out every check. :eek2:

The less you get back the better if you are using all your available deductions. Even if you owe some, it's like a free loan to you.

Of course this only works if you are able to keep some $$ aside.

Whenever you get money back just says you're giving the government a free loan;)

Your right Joe. But I had to shell out 600 one year, and I have to tell you that was the hardest thing in the world to chit out when I was flat *** broke.

The difference in my check, if I filed for less with holdings, would only be a difference of $40 a week. I cant seem to set that money aside without the wife spending it, so this way we get the money back and get to take a vacation.;) I have to admit, I suck at saving money unless its taken from me before it reaches my pockets:o

And if I told you how much they got to keep, and what I made last year, you'd be madder than a wet hen:devil:

Yeah we did just a LITTLE better this year, got about $1700 back not too bad I guess but then again we just do the short form & don't have any deductions, I think we may start saving reciepts for the next year & see if that helps our luck it'll probably hinder us :blah: Yeah Soggy we know what ya mean about the saving $$ part  I suppose If I would quite spending soooo much LOL

Yippee. We are getting about 6000 back, only cause we are writing off the storage place where we keep the dirtbikes. And how do we write it off? Its used for my grandmas clothing store. We got a few hangers hangin... And yes its perfectly legal :D
