i'd go hmf.. few reason's why...
1. seen some good dyno runs with em (not on 450, but others)
2. c&d sells em check the price on that
3. good looking and sounding
4. red one to match the bike.

by talking to sparks i have heard great things about how their pipe performs...

personally i dont pay much attention to dynos, basically because you are racing on a dyno... you have to race on a track... it might perform great on a dyno... with high peak power etc, but it might not be setup great on a track that way...

but sparks has a great reputation for their work, so i would stick with them. i have a few of them on the way... they should be here friday.. i cant wait to see them

I'm still flipping a coin over a Sparks or a Baldwin pipe.

yeah... i do a lot of work with baldwin... my company buys alot from him.
he has a nice exhaust out... and a nice fcr carb kit for the 450r... not to mention many other nice products.

I just put my sparks pipe on today along with the sparks air filter kit and it made great power. It really seemed to widen out the powerband and it sounds good. It was also a perfect fit. It only took me about 3 minutes to put it on.

HMF, LRD, or Sparks, all great pipes. I'd put my money on Sparks just because of his reputation with a 4 stroke engine, like what someone else said, look at 4 stroke wars for the past few years.

I've used sparks on my 250r, and their pipe was awesome....and I have tried many many pipes, no other pipe made even close to comprable power, I'll trust his stuff!!! The only thing i'm concerned with is I hear the stock pipe from honda is quite a good one, and it seems that many of the pipes I have read about only add a few horsepower....unlike the yfz which has a crappy pipe and when a nice pipe is added it makes big gains. I 'm wondering if that $500 would be better spent on a cam an a high compression piston instead?

I am still trying to decide if I want a full pipe or just a slip on, it seems like the Honda header is hard to beat

Does anyone know if Sparks makes a slip on? That might be a good way to go.
