Hey how often do you have to change the oil in yer predator? I've heard 20 hours, 15 hours, 10 hours, even 7 hours of hard riding calls for an oil change! I do more than that in a single day! anyways, this would be a lot of help before I decide to go out n get a Preddy. Thanks bud.

I change my oil after every 2 races or 3-4 trail rides. But I am one of those people that believes in changing it often too.

Nice Ride!! What kind of seat cover you have on there?

Thanks guys for the compliments. As far as oil changes go I change mine every 10 hrs or every 3 to 4 rides which ever comes first. As for my seat cover it’s a jet trim the original makers for quad techs and rath racing there’s go for about 140 $ to 150$ jet trims go for 110$ plus 10$ ball park in shipping in no more than three days its in your door step.

you need to change the oil in any 4 stroke that often... if you dont want to.. you gotta buy a POS shee and rebuild every 40 hours...

lol

Right on, lol. Not flaming ya Hozed, but calling Shee's a POS and having to rebuild every 40 hrs is complete BS.

did he just switch out parts for lighter parts? add kickstart and remove battery? i wonder if the quad is as durable with lighter parts. i definitely don't want a drag bike, i want a hill climbing, dune jumping machine ;)

How are the preds for jumping? I read on predatorowners.com about a bunch of tranny issues with the 03's and polaris' horrendous customer service

They have covered and are STILL covering the issues with Frames and Tranny even past the warrenty. They have also done alotof changes for a first time model. As for Jumping...Its heavier I wont lie to ya, but its all about a persons preference. But my ole man took the local Chamiponship MX series this year on his ! Ill have to post some of the MX pics. What you need to do is find someone that will let you ride one for a bit and see if its the quad for you;)

I got third in the holeshot and was holding second for a while until i got hung up on a tree for about 2 minutes which let around 12 guys pass! some more pics from the xc race!
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid106/pe41b36a9459f863f0760d0a0568ab340/f96e11cc.jpg
the track also had some huge mud holes! you may also notice the black bag on the lower part of my back. I ran my helmet cam for the first time in a race and the quality was amazing and its great to see parts of the race all over again(even if they werent good!)
I was surprised that the picture was so perfect even with all the bouncing from the whoops!

the track was really whooped out and sandy which made for a tough first race of the race, but my elkas handled a lot better than stock!
