Has anyone found out what the top speed is yet on the R?

I have one already buck. I just wanted to know if anyone used a gps or anything to see what it tops out at. :rolleyes:

I've heard 2 different people on here say 78 mph one of them used a gps.

nahh man, not even close, if that thing goes 78 then it would blow the tires off the yfz. It probably tops out at like.... a logical guess would have to be 70ish..

Why would you say it wouldn't top out at 78. The 400ex tops out at 67 and the Raptor at 73. I did hear it had a really high top speed also but I don't know.:blah:

unless you drag it doesnt really matter, it matters if it will get around a finish line before somthing else does.....
I have an HMF full system on mine with a 150 main jet, 118 is stock. I had it going 78.5 MPH on a smooth dirt road. It still had something left but it was getting unstable so I backed off. That is the reading from my Garmin GPS III mounted to the handlebars.

I would say 75 or so, It feels faster than my old piped Raptor

all i can say is, i rode my friends today.. and omg.. i believe. it feels like its going to fly away. when u pinn it, ur eyes are watering through the gears. i cant wait until mine comes in and it should be in tomar... shew i really do believe.. atleast 75..
my ex will do about 68 and it feels like it will eat it i mean eat it:devil:

I've done the math on the gearing - speeds in excess of 75mph are entirely possible with stock gearing.
This is good - because with the tall 1st gear, this means you will be able to gear down and still have plenty on the top end.
