Valvaline makes a motorcycle oil for 4 strokes. I used it in my 300 and it worked good. It help with wet clutches and seemed to hold up good.

I found that fully synthetic is great for the motor but bad for the clutch, too slipery plates wont grab as good.Go with semi

mobile 1 doesn't have the additive that makes you clutch slip. Go with mobile 1, best oil you can run;)

i dunno which one is the heavier weight but if you live in a place like i do where it gets like 95 during the summer you should use the heavier weight oil... then during the winter it can get cold like 20 outside and thats when u run like 30w

i think thats right now dont kill me if im wronge

im pretty sure you use the thinner oil in the warmer weather & the thicker in the colder

just tring to help

thiner in the winter it flows better when cold

thicker in the summer so it stays thicker as it heats up

this is how the # go (10-w30) the 10 is the viscosity that the oil is cold W means recomended for winter use 30 means when hot the oil protects or acts like a 30 weight oil.. hope that helps every one out;)

hey jumbo 747 quit making us fellow TN riders look foolish. You run the 10w-40 all year long in TN.In colder climates run thinner oil in winter and this would be 10w-30 or thinner.I have heard synthetic oils make your wet clutches slip.Anybody having this trouble.I you don't want to use synthetic to break motor in because it want allow the the rings to seat.:o :o :blah: :blah:

the red cap mobil one is 15w-50 , its what I use . I was always told not to use the oil that sayes energy conserving. which means it will let the clutch slip , mobil one in the Red cap is the only one that doesn't say energy conserving .

hey jumbo 747.that sounds cool.My buddy's and i ride there 4 or 5 times a year.We are wanting to go check out honda hills to see if is anything like it used to be.Its 10.00 to ride per day.there used to be some huge hills to climb and alot of trails, but i imagine natchez trace probley cut it in half.Is there a place to ride near bellvue? One of my friends lives in Pegram,he has a business called RMWBILLET that makes awsome flamed parts for ATVs.His website is www.rmwbillet.com check it out.I think there is alot of young adults on this site from Brentwood highschool that goes to LBL alot as well.Catch ya on the trails.

hey jumbo747 my 4-wheeler was the gunia pig for that taillight.it looks awsome especially in the dark. He is currently working on 450 parts though.I've have been pushing him to make other parts as well. When you pick up that taillight ask about his other parts,I have those as well. They really do look better than everybody else's billet parts.See ya.Yea i've talked to exrider505 on this forum before. We need to hook up at LBL sometime.Oh and by the way when you pick up that taillight check out his banshee. One ride on that thing and you will understand why I laugh everytime I here somebody say they smoked a banshee.
