hey im just doin a little research and i need some places with either really good or factual info on benefits of keeping our land open to offroad vehicles.

also if you guys have any info on sights were there is credible info on the phasing out of 2 strokes id be much abligded.


feel free to say some of your own oppinions also if they are educational. this is for a college presentation.

The EPA's website might have info on the 2005 changes that 2-strokes can't meet.

There is a huge environmental debate going on over Sand Mountain in Nevada over a butterfly. The BLM wants to close a major portion of the dune area.

We all agree that we can't just run around rampantly destroying vegitation and wildlife. The offroad community would like to propose a compromise.

Rather than close the area to ALL riding activity, try to educate the users at Sand Mountain of the issue, and ask for voluntary cooperation to limit use only to designated trails.

So far, the only effort that has been made has been by the offroad supporters. BLM has not made any efforts towards educating the public, yet they point and say "See, people are still riding in the restricted areas, education isn't working".

I agree. Intervention is better than prevention.
