I took out my bearing carrier to change the bearings and noticed that the bearings in there were twice as fat as the stock ones.
Question is when you have a aftermarket carrier do you also need the same aftermarket bearings?
I know I have a aftermarket carrier. I just don't know which one. ( I bought my quad used with the stuff already on there.
The only numbers I see on the carrier are ; LS - H1 - 11/98)
This is on a 2000 model 400ex.
I will post pics later on if I have to when my buddy gets home.
