Well the report is a little late, but here it goes. The PA riders of exriders have been anxiously awaiting this race for the entire winter. The weather conditions could have been worse, but not much. At least the day was sunny. Temps were in the 20's and there was enough ice on the track for everyone.

Some of the areas best riders were in attendance including Chris Borich and our own Jason Hughes. Here is a pic of Jasons Quad.

It was great meeting alot of the people in person from this site. I have come to find out there were at least 8-10 people from exriders riding in the C Class alone. Here is a photo of the starting line.

The course was slick and muddy to start and got icier as the race went on. Some of the riders had studs or screws in their tires. You can see the glare in this pic of the ice shining through from under the dirt.

The track was muddy and when the mud hit you it actually froze to your gear. Almost all of the riders were covered in mud after just one lap.

The overall winner of the day was Chris Borich. He made it look easy out there.

I was the one on the far left of the holeshot picture. I was the one on a red 400ex wearing the blue Notre Dame jacket getting a terrible start when the flag dropped. I think my quad actually started up real quick, but I didn't hear it, because it was so loud during the start.

i cant find me anywhere! hahaha! im the muddy one on the 250r!:D

i took a couple videos, after i was done, i got one of what i believe to be jlhughes (looks like a blue yfz)ripping past a 300ex, but i cant tell for sure.

Hah i hope somebody got a picture of that 300ex i cut of in the cones to get 11th place. I ran out gas atleast 6 people flew passed me then soo as i got it running i wizzed passed this 300ex in the last second to get a positon higher. Next race is gonna be alot better no more stupid mistakes. Also what was the deal with that predator really far out infront derno?? Does he get like penalized for that or anything.

I'd really be careful doing that stuff around the barrels. The score keepers don't take lightly on people trying to race into them.

Nah nothing is going to happen. He just got away with one that is all. Trust me if it becomes a habit then we will have a problem.

Well i cut him off about 2 lengths before the cone and slowed down into the barrells soo it worked out fine and no one got hit.

the Kenneys are doing GNCC's this year no D6's....
Also Johnny and Steph have been bumped into the A class by D6...so when they do show up they'll be runnin A.

Derno24

I check all of the results pages and they are not on there. They may have decided against racing that day. It was pretty nasty out there and I know of a couple other people that decided against racing that day.

The Kennys are for sure dedicated to the sport. Stephs dad once told me with great confidence, that "Steph is nearly the fastest rider in the woods." L

Last I talked to Samara, she wasnt sure if she was gonna continue racing this year or not. Sam has gotten quite a few injuries of the years. She once told me that if the Kennys do GNCC's, she just might ride around in the motorhome with em.

Thanks to both of you for the info. If Im ever make it to Pine Grove again, Ill stop by your pit and say howdy.
