alright i might be buying a 400ex in march when i get my taxes back. is there any pros and cons on a 400ex? my buddy keeps on telling me to get a banshee. i'm new at four wheelers and what is better a 4 stroke or a 2 stroke. also is there anybody from the new york area. i live in granville ny. i think this looks like a good start out wheeler. please help me out.:huh sorry for all the dumb questions.

have you ever ridden before?? if not.. DO NOT GET A BANSHEE!!! lol not for a beginner.. a 400 is a start but i would look into a 300ex if you want reverse since the 400s dont have reverse

well...if you like to work on things & like speed on demand at all times then 2 stroke...if you like a more dependable ride & a mellow power curve then four stroke...best way to find out is to ride some machines at dealer...I also wouldn't buy new b/c stock banshees suck IMO & used 400ex's are going for around $3,000 in mint condition. ;) good luck

2 strokes are more maintenence. the 400 is a great first quad. very user friendly, good handleing, and good power. id reccomened it.

what kind of riding are you gonna do? there are pro's and con's to all of them. buy the one you like and the one that fits you.
The last thing I would do is let someone else pick out my quad.

In todays ATV market you can't go wrong, all the major manufactuers have good quads. It all depends on your budget.I personally would not reccommend a 2 stroke for a begginer. You can not go wrong with a Honda.

Get a 400EX;) lol...only because you're a beginner and they are a lot easier to ride and maintain.
