Will 400EX heel guards fit on my 300EX???

I have a 93 300ex The stock heel guards are trashed. I can get a set of 400 ex heel guards for cheap. I was wondering though if they will fit or not????

There are a ton on ebay for 400EX, but I want to know if they will fit a 300EX, cuz I cant find them anywhere..:grr:
