Had to sell my 400 to get a car but I have a 250sx in my basement that just needs rebuild been siting there doing nothing for a year now the top end is all ready apart but the crank has side to side play in it no up and down though. How much side to side play is ok or does it have to have no play.

does the actual crank of side play or are you just moving the connecting rod from side to side

Im just moving the conetcing rod side to side but it feels quite loose so I thought there might be a problem

no your fine, just cause the rod moves back and forth doesn't mean you crank moves from side to side there two different pieces :o

call your local honda dealer for the spec and check it just to make sore it's not to lose.
