Hey, I am kinda thinking I need to do a 426 kit in my 400ex. My friend is ridin a new 450r, and I can barely keep up. And my 400 doesn't scare me anymore! I was kinda thinking about getting a raptor, but I also need to buy a truck. How much would it cost to get a 426 kit all set up, with good components? I don't know much about building motors, so I need some help! what kind of parts are needed, and any thing besides motor work to run this set up? Would I be better off buying a raptor and modding it a little (exhaust, filter etc.) Thanks in advance!

 I would go with the 426ex because I have it and I can keep up with raptor and sometim es beating them in sand drags. For a 426 you should find your local mechanic to help you out on it but I had to replace my stock bolts to hold my motor together because the stock bolts cant hold that high of compression but after that it's pretty simple and F***ing fast!

Thanks, could you give me an approximate of how much it cost ya? I am buying a truck this summer, and I'm only 14, so money is tight!
