my granfather just handed me a check for $2,000 exactly. now is my time i deck my 400ex out! as of now i have turfs on the rear, moose handlebars, ac nerfs, pipe, jetted carb and k&n filter. so its nothing bad. well i want too get good stuff for my ex but keep the cost down. here are my main goals too get then if i have any left over i will decide. elka shocks with rezzies, +2 burgard a arms, + 2 lonestar axle, rear turfs on beadlocks, front razr mx then keep my turfs i have now too practice. ok thats my MAIN goals as of what i want so do you guys think ill be over budget or what? does it sound like a good setup? thanks!

I would go with TCS shocks.

you are young... take the $2000 and invest it wisley and when you are 50 you will be able to retire comfortably...

That's what I was leaning more towards...I would invest a portion of it into my quad, and make more money with the rest of the money. Althought $2,000 is tempting to just dump all of it into your 400:cool:

I would go for this setup:

Lonestar +2+1 a-arms = $680
Lonestar +4 axle = $370
TCS Tripple rate fronts with rezzies = $750
Some kind of Beadlock rear wheels(your preference) = $300
Total = $2,100

When you save a little more:
Rear shock = around $600

The reason i say TCS instead of elka is because they are a bit cheaper and just as good for a starting local racer.....

Investing it also sounds like a good idea...

You guys beat me to it--invest it. It may seem boring now to just tuck that money away into an investment but you'll thank us later. When that $2000 turns to $20,000 you'll be glad you did it.

well...no. im tired of running my stock setup and i dont want too work for 2 years too get all this for my quad. im going too spend it, wisely on my ex. i beat yfz's left and right, 450r's, $10,000 400ex's all the time so when i get my setup ill be that much better. i dont care what you say but i am using this for the best!

LOL...Hey Tim Farr, sounds like you don't need any mods. If you're beating YFZ's, TRX's and $10,000 400EX's than what else is there to race?

No offense, but, $2000 won't get you the best.

I agree w/ the others. Invest it. At least $1000 of it in my opinion. Cuz personally myself...I love quads...but I could never see spendin 2 grand at once on a quad (unless it was a payment on it). And by the sounds of it, as Guy said, if your beatin all those w/ your quad allready, u don't need nothing more:blah:

why dont u become ur own person and spend the money on what u want instead of what we would want.

ur already a mr hot shot local racer taking down 10g quads on a friggin nerfed bar quad.

buy a ****ing rocket ship for all we care.

If your a Mx racer spend it on TCS shocks/A-arms/Rearshock/tires and rims

I agree with what the others have said. If you're "beating $10,000 EX's, YFZ's, and 450R's" somehow on your slightly modified 400 there's nothing else for you to get. So save the money...

all in all 2000 dollars isnt much money

but you can make it alot by investing it

Although I know I wouldnt but my mom would make me. I say invest it in a chinese stock since stocks just opend. China air in like 1 year went up 6000% its at 60 cents right now.. in 5 years imagine where it will be at!
