i have a 2003 400ex slip on e series and kn with outerwear n choke removed still probs with jets but i need to know how may disc's to run and what do they do (purpose)

more disks=more flow, and less disks=less flow. So if you have less disk, you will have more low end, and with more disks you will have more top end. I was told with no disks or spark arrestor, you also gain top end, and that is how my wb is set up with now. Also if you take disks off, you will run richer, not a lot but some. And if you go with more, you are going to be leaner. I think WB recommends using 12 disks, but a lot of people run 18. If I was to run 18 I would cut about 5 inches off of the pipe, and than put the disks on so it didn't stick way out past the grab bar.

i dont even think mine came with 12? think it has like 8 or 9 in it

how new is yours?? I got mine last summer and it came with 12. Maybe the older ones have less disks??:confused:

nope i had one withen the first month is was out and mine came with 12, you should have 12 if you ordered it for a 400ex cause wb brothers has done alot of testing and tuning and they find that 12 disc is the best all around for the 400ex that's why they give you that many so if you didn't get 12 you need to jump on the horn and find out what the dilio is :o
